The Prevention GENEration Program for hereditary cancer has reached 41,980 entries into its online family history questionnaire. The program recently filed a petition with the Ministry of Health to include genetic testing costs for all women in the basket of paid test. This in an incredible accomplishment that required tremendous planning and effort from a large number of professionals. If passed, this legislation will enable every women to get paid genetic testing, not only women from high risk families.
The Tzipora Fried Alzheimer Center continues its expansion to more cities as the demand for information and help keeps growing with an aging population. The number of programs and volunteers grew in 2016. Students come to internship from Universities at the centers to learn about Alzheimer and its impact on families and society.
The Bone Marrow donor pool keeps financing tests to find a donor match for a patient in need.
The Girls Tennis Teams continue their success creating leaders and excellent athletes. In 2016, girls from different ages won national championships, traveled to Europe to compete in International tournaments and continue to develop skills to last a lifetime.
The NCF continues to contribute to other program that are changing and impacting lives all over the world.
There is so much for us to be happy and thankful for at the NCF.
